Hwel Kan & Trevithick Manor Farm
Architectural visualisations supporting the delivery of sustainable, community-focused housing developments across Cornwall
DELIVERING HOMES FOR CORNWALL
JJV produced a series of architectural visualisations for residential developments delivered by Treveth across Cornwall, including Hwel Kan in Blackwater and Trevithick Manor Farm in Newquay.
Created to support marketing and stakeholder communication, the imagery helped communicate the quality, character and long-term vision of developments designed to meet Cornwall's growing housing needs while creating attractive, sustainable communities.
Client: Treveth
Architects: Studio ARC & Poynton Bradbury Architects
Location: Blackwater & Newquay
Project Type: Residential Development
Services: Architectural Visualisation, Residential CGI, Marketing Imagery
Use: Development Marketing, Stakeholder Communication & Off-Plan Sales
Scale: 32 homes at Hwel Kan and an initial phase of 96 homes at Trevithick Manor Farm within a wider 349-home masterplan.
Both schemes place a strong emphasis on delivering homes for local people, with a mix of housing types and tenures designed to create balanced and inclusive neighbourhoods.
The visualisations focused on more than individual properties, showcasing streetscapes, landscaping and public spaces to help communicate how each development would function as a place to live, grow and connect with the wider community.
OFF-PLAN MARKETING & ENGAGEMENT
High-quality CGI is often most effective when combined with clear site plans and masterplan imagery. While visualisations help buyers connect with the character and atmosphere of a development, site plans provide a broader understanding of how homes, streets, green spaces and community infrastructure come together.
For developments such as Hwel Kan and Trevithick, these supporting visuals helped communicate the wider vision for the neighbourhood, giving prospective residents, stakeholders and local communities a clearer understanding of the scale, layout and long-term ambition of each scheme. Trevithick Manor Farm forms part of a significant housing programme that will ultimately deliver 349 homes across multiple phases, making clear and accessible masterplan communication particularly important.
Trevithick Manor Farm demonstrates the importance of visualisation within large-scale residential development. The wider masterplan includes hundreds of new homes delivered as part of Cornwall Council's long-term housing programme, with placemaking, landscape integration and community infrastructure forming key parts of the design approach.
The CGI helped communicate this broader vision, illustrating not only the homes themselves but also the character of the future neighbourhood and its relationship to the surrounding landscape.
